Interactive program on CD-Rom format, which aims to raise awareness to motorway users around the risks of driving, and to train them providing them with coping strategies to various situations that may arise the following idea: "Aumar should contribute to train/educate the motorway drivers on different aspects regarding knowledge, attitudes and behaviours," aims to develop an interactive training system to forward the concern has Aumar for Road Safety and the Environment.
In this sense, the programme facilitates the presentation of actions that Aumar performs for Road Safety, first on its service (the motorway), and secondly its contribution to road safety in general. So, the computer application optimizes the "development" and conducted in different formats reinforces the philosophy and services of Aumar, and collects the research work, campaigns which have been realized so far (many of them made by several research groups of INTRAS). Thus, the research (Project Alert, accident investigation, etc.), actions (SOS posts, etc.) and activities (campaigns with brochures, television, etc.) are presented, developed by Aumar towards road safety, with two levels of communication: one directed to the general public and another aimed at more specialized audiences (journalists, technicians, etc.).
Other behaviours and attitudes concerning environmental aspects will be added for its treatment, of which Aumar is already working, being easy to integrate this subject by the proximity and interaction of these behaviours to road safety which is reflected in clear examples as the economy driving.
In regard to the first target, the axis of the content is to generate and transmit a variety of information on road safety that is related to most of the accidents that we have identified through research made by Aumar.
So, it is working with issues related to the human factor as: Psychophysical transient disorders: -Dream, - Fatigue, -Food and drink, -Driving techniques, -Proper use of the track, -Releases, -Appropriate speed, -Paths, -Unforeseen situations (blowouts, etc.), -Maintenance and adaptation of vehicle, -Tires, -Lights, - Refuelling, -Mobile phone.
Beyond the fact that the unquestionable advantages of the motorway as a route to greater security is highlighted, a continued reflection on the need, from the point of view of the security, of a proper use of it still remains. In this sense the use of the services of the same (rest areas , etc.) are incentivized.
Given the orientation (theory, games, etc.) the development allows to reach a wider target audience in terms of age range, so that the product can be used by young people, for parents for them and their children, etc.
