The aim of this research has been to increase the knowledge we have on the effects of physical and psychological disorders while driving.

As in other cases, the ultimate goal of any research in the field of road safety is to develop, design and implement actions that lead to a reduction in the negative impact of traffic, as well as to its orientation that have followed this path.
 

• The desk study covers the following aspects:
• Classify and prioritize according to the different criteria (incidence rate, frequency rate, etc.) the different psychological and physical disorders that can affect driving,
• Look over programmes and practices carried out around the target factors internationally,
• Suggest intervention strategies that lead to mitigate this issue.

The tasks performed by the members of the research team have been the proper of this kind of desk studies: bibliographic research, bibliometric analysis, documents selection, analysis of content, integration of knowledge, inclusion of contributions and writing the final report.
