The aim of this research has been to increase the knowledge we have about the legislation, policing and justice in the field of traffic offenses.

The desk study covers the following aspects:

• Theoretical analysis of different ways of punishment;
• Identification, classification and description of punitive systems on traffic in different countries,
• Analysis of changes in traffic legislation in our country,
• Collection and study of sanctioning paradigmatic cases (exemplary / non-exemplary) in traffic in different countries.

The tasks developed by the members of the research team have been the appropriate of this kind of desk study: library search, bibliometric analysis, documents selection, content analysis, integration of knowledge, inclusion of contributions and writing the final report.
