Description

The aim of this research has been to increase the knowledge we have about training and driver education as one of the most important measures and how it should be implemented to improve road safety.

As in other cases the ultimate goal of any research in the field of road safety is to develop, design and implement interventions that lead to a reduction in the negative impact of traffic.

The documentary study covers the following aspects:

  • Analysis/Identification (Definition of Road Safety Education and Training, Definition of other border interventions relevant to Education and Road Training, Identification of the various agencies and institutions that have developed actions in these areas worldwide and in Spain),
  • Review of programmes and measures (identification, categorization and description of Road Training interventions according to their characteristics and aims,
  • Identification, categorization and description of road safety education interventions based on their characteristics and aims).

The tasks performed by the researchers have been: developing the questionnaire, the design of the research methodology, conducting the pre-test, the implementation of the fieldwork, data preparation (encoding, recording, and tabulation), statistical analysis, the development of interpretative report and drafting the final report.

The main results of the investigation are presented in a publication that is available for free:
