Description

Opinion research project on health and driving. The ultimate goal of the research was to determine the perception of the Spanish population on "Health and Driving", and to determine the incidence of specific mental and physical disorders and pathologies on driving.

Ultimately, the research tries to answer questions such as:

  • Which health factors have a greater influence on road safety/unsafety?
  • What is the importance of each of them?
  • Is the Spanish population aware of this incidence?
  • Which are the most frequent physical or psychological ailments of Spanish drivers?
  • Does the Spanish driver give a correct degree of importance to the effect of different diseases on driving?
  • Is the user of the road aware of the effect that consuming specific medicines may have on driving?
  • Do people give a correct degree of importance to the effect of different medicines on driving?
  • Do the people in charge of health warn on the possible effects of a disease or a medicine on driving?
  • How can we improve the detection procedures of drivers with health issues?

Jointly with the book of conclusions, it is about answering the question: how can we intervene to improve road safety health in our drivers?

The tasks developed by researchers have been developing the questionnaire, the design of the research methodology, conducting the pre-test, the implementation of fieldwork, preparing data (coding, recording, tabulation), the statistical analysis, making the interpretative report and writing the final report.

The main results of the research are in a publication available for free:
