Signature of the agreement of the “María Goyri Programme”

The Ministry, the Government of the Valencian Community and the Valencian public universities sign an agreement for the incorporation of 707 helping doctorate professors.
The Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant; the consultant of Education, Culture, Universities and Employmen, José Antonio Rovira; the Principal of the Universitat de València, Maria Vicenta Maestre; the Principal of the Universitat Politècnica de València, José Esteban Capilla; the Principal of the University of Jaume I, Eva Alcón; the acting Principal of the University of Alacant, Juan Mora; and the Vice Principal of Faculty of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, José Carlos Espigares, have signed the agreement for which begins the process of the “María Goyri Programme”.
Through this programme, the govern finances the hiring of 426 helping doctorate professors, and the the Government of the Valencian Community gives 281 more places, which would mean an increase of the 87% of this type of places in the Valencian public universities.
About the “María Goyri Programme”
The “María Goyri Programme” will allow more than 5.600 places for the helping doctorate professors in the Spanish public universities.
With the signature of this agreement, there are already 8 CC. AA., including Asturias, Castilla-La Mancha, Cataluña, Navarra, Canarias, Aragón and La Rioja, which have sum up to the setting up of this unpublished Programme, the goal of which is to finance more than 5.600 places for professors/helping doctorates in public universities from all around Spain.
