Asynchronous programming allows us to achieve efficiency improvements in our software, given that we do not block our thread for long processes or interaction with users. However, it is difficult for many people to understand how this type of programming works, initially because they are used to think in a very imperatively and sequentially way.
This talk will present the power of functional languages and object-oriented programming when using asynchronous programming techniques in current processors. Furthermore, it will present that the OOP -a programming paradigm- is absorbing functional programming in the new Api’s of the main programming languages.
