The Universitat de València presents the HACKATHON Agrotec Startup Awards 2022 to the best entrepreneurial proposals based on innovative ideas to solve the challenges in the field of agri-food of the 21st century.

Distributed over six afternoon conferences:
- Prehackathon conference: October 17th 2022
- Hackathon: October 18th, 19th, 20th and 24th 2022
- Hackathon Awards Conference: October 27th 2022

In this collaborative activity, participants will form teams and will have to propose innovative solutions to challenges that will be posed to them on different topics related to agri-food, with the aim of responding to the demands for innovation in the agri-food field. During the conferences, an entrepreneurship workshop will be held in which guidelines will be given on how to create a business plan to put the innovative idea into practice in the chosen challenge.
The first 50 students enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of their undergraduate and master’s degree and doctorates, as well as graduates from universities of the Valencian Community who finish their studies after June 1st 2020 will be able to participate in this activity.

The best ideas will be awarded prizes, whereby the winning team's idea will receive a prize of €1500 and an additional prize of €1000 will be awarded to the runners-up. In addition, each Universitat de València undergraduate student will receive a certificate of recognition of 1.5 credits for participating in the activity, which can be included in their academic transcript.
The members of the winning teams will have the opportunity to incorporate the idea as an innovative project in the High Technology Incubator in Sustainable Agri-Food AgrotecUV.
