Open day at the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València with over 100 diverse activities addressing relevant topics in science and technology

On May 11, 2024, Expociencia, the annual open day event at the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València (PCUV), was a great success. With over 100 exciting activities organized by our talented researchers and professionals from associated companies, attendees explored fascinating topics in science and technology. The event, under the theme "Science for a Sustainable World," attracted people from all walks of life. Admission was free, and participants enjoyed a day filled with learning and discoveries. From interactive workshops to innovative demonstrations, each activity offered a unique experience to bring science and technology closer to the public.

We highlight the participation of doctoral students from the Department of Optics and Optometry and Vision Sciences, including Paula García and Alba Herrero, members of the GAP (Applied Psychophysics Research Group), who presented the workshop "EXPLORE THE RAINBOW WITH NEWTON" (Newton Demonstration). In this workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore the composition of the visible spectrum by creating a Newton's disk, thus verifying that white light is composed of colors.
