12th Sessions on External Action of the European Union

On 3 March will take place in the Tarongers Campus a new edition of the Sessions on External Action of the European Union, which will open debates on diverse aspects related to the most important issues that this supranational organisation faces. The event is organised by the Jean Monnet “European Values” Chair of the Universitat de València.

This day will address current European issues such as Brexit, foreign and security policy and human rights, at a time when the Union is facing major political and social challenges. This encounter is distributed in three days that will begin on 3rd March with a conference entitled El Brexit y el proceso de paz en Irlanda del Norte (Spanish for Brexit and the peace process in Northern Ireland) and another one on La Unión Europea y las Fuerzas Armadas españolas en la crisis de Mali (Spanish for European Union and the Spanish Armed Forces during the Mali War).

On Tuesday 10 March, the second session will take place with a lecture surrounding El Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos (Spanish for International Law of Human Rights) and, finally, the 12th Edition of the Sessions will close on 23 March with the conferences La Política Exterior y de Seguridad Común (PESC) y los Derechos Humanos (Spanish for Common Foreign and Security Policy -CFSP- and Human Rights) and La saga judicial del Sahara ante la Unión Europea (Spanish for The legal saga of the Sahara before the European Union).
