"APPLICATION AND MEASUREMENT OF SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CRITERIA IN SMALL CONTRACTS"
Strategic public procurement is a new paradigm that allows the public sector to align its practices of procurement of goods, services and works with public policies that favour sustainable development, particularly in the areas of equality, social well-being and environmental protection. The current Law of Contracts of the Public Sector allows for and favours this practice.
University centre, in this area, have great potential for the development of greater coherence between their contracting and purchasing processes and the educational policies they seek to promote in terms of social, economic and environmental sustainability within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
This seminar will combine theoretical training with practical application, taking into account the relevant legislation and the UV's own strategies and documents, addressing the possibilities of implementing social and environmental criteria in the minor contracts managed by the University of Valencia, which, although they are of a smaller amount, generate an important impact on the overall university development.
