The work "El pasado en su sitio. Archaeological heritage, development and tourism" brings together contributions from the Third Conference of the Museum of Prehistory of Valencia (Spain). The main objective of the conference was to reflect on the possibilities offered by sustainable tourism management of archaeological heritage and its impact on the territory. The aim is to reflect on the extent to which heritage projects can find in tourism a way of conservation and cultural, social and economic profitability and the role of each of the agents in this system of relations.
