As it appears in other parts of this work, the phenomenon of recent immigration is a composite, multidimensional and difficult to deal with in all its complexity. Social analysis must therefore be based on schematisation procedures which may in some cases lead to excessively simplified extremes. This is the risk of trying to analyse the behaviours and attitudes of a whole range of citizens who, because of their cultural background, are absolutely diverse and influenced by completely different factors and circumstances.
