Silk-screen printing: Visual message and action
Workshop given by
Jussi Folch and Rafa Mölck (Lanevera Ediciones).
Presented by
Raúl Abeledo. Academic director of the UV Cultural Observatory.
The aim of this workshop is to reflect on the role of the visual message in current urban issues such as climate change, neighbourhood gentrification or social exclusion, among others. Based on these issues, participants will design a visual message to make conflicts and citizens' demands visible or to promote good urban and social practices that are of interest to them. The messages will be printed on posters using the silk-screen printing technique at Lanevera Ediciones, an artisan silk-screen printing workshop located in the Ruzafa neighbourhood of València. The Lanevera Ediciones workshop is made up of Rafa Mölck (València, 1986) and Jussi Folch (Alcàsser, 1982), both graduates in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València. They specialise in the production, sale and dissemination of graphic work by local artists, combining their activity with teaching screen-printing techniques.
Face-to-face workshop at Lanevera Ediciones for a maximum of 15 people, no previous knowledge of silk-screen printing is required. Prior registration is required and free of charge at: https://events.fundacio.es/o/35
