Pilar Almenar is a journalist, trainer and project manager.

Since September 2020, she has been training more than 100 public education teachers from various educational centres of the Valencian Community in digital competences via the GVA’s Centre de Formació, Innovació i Recursos per al Professorat, as well as different educational centres in a more direct manner.

She gave classes on fake news and social networks to more than 300 students of the Universitat Popular de València. On March and April 2021, she trained part of the Fem TRIC’s team, a group formed by 90 women under risk of digital exclusion at the Universitat Popular de València.

Within the entrepreneurship and social innovation fields, on September 2017, she founded Proyecto Impresas, a project managed by her whose aim is to create the first ever magazine written by women inmates of Picassent’s (Valencia) prison.

In 2021, she founded Mediamorfosis, asociación para la transformación social a través de la comunicación alongside her partner Laura Bellver.
