The cycle of talks open to the public of the Girls4STEM Project has scheduled for Thursday 1 December at 5:30 p.m. a hybrid session (face-to-face/online) dedicated to our godmother Dolores Corella Piquer, pioneering researcher in nutritional genomics.
This talk, in tribute to Dolores Corella Piquer, will be held in person at the Joan Pelechano Assembly Hall of the ETSE-UV. In order to attend the talk, prior registration is required at: https://go.uv.es/girls4stem/dolors. The talk will also be broadcast live on the Girls4STEM Youtube channel.
The aim of these talks is to give visibility to professional women in STEM fields and their work using a light and relaxed format. The session will last 1.5 hours during which the experts will tell us in an entertaining way about the work they do on a daily basis. On this occasion the guests are: Mayte Bacete Castelló, María Vargas Colás and Andrea López Castillo.
At the same time, the “+Dones” Awards of the 2022 edition organised by the ETSE-UV and Girls4STEM will be presented.
This talk is part of the activities organised by Girls4STEM from the ETSE-UV, the Office of the Vice-Principal for Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies, the Equality Unit and the Office of the Vice-Principal for Innovation and Transfer of the Universitat de València. It also has the support of the Valencian Government and funding from the Valencian Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society.
The main objective of the Girls4STEM Project is to promote vocations in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) areas among the general public and, in particular, among girls.
