Pau Rausell-Köster, together with Chuan Li and Vicente Coll-Serrano, has recently published "Exploring the Evidence-Based Driving Factors of Innovation in Arts and Cultural Organisations" in which he analyses how innovation is a key issue in any industry, and the arts and cultural sectors are no exception.

As these industries become more competitive, it is increasingly important to understand the factors that drive innovation in these organisations. However, the existing literature on the topic has been limited due to a lack of empirical evidence and an excessive focus on technological innovation.

To overcome these limitations, this new article has explored the drivers of innovation in museum organisations. The research has used survey data and a statistical approach to broaden the scope of innovation from the technological to the cultural and organisational dimension.

The findings of the article are important for innovation management in the arts and cultural sectors. First, the results highlight the importance of considering cultural and organisational factors in promoting innovation in these industries. Secondly, they provide empirical evidence for existing theoretical propositions, supporting some of them while others do not.

The research therefore represents an important step towards a more complete understanding of innovation in the arts and cultural sectors. As these industries continue to evolve and face new challenges, it is vital to continue to investigate the factors that drive innovation in these organisations. With valuable information such as that provided by this study, managers and leaders of arts and cultural organisations can make more informed decisions and improve the competitiveness of their companies in the global marketplace.
