Professor Jesús Conill Sancho, Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the Universitat de València, has been conferred the degree of Doctor honoris causa in Philosophy by the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA). In the ceremony, he prompted us to reflect on the growing relevance of the classical authors and their capacity to soothe the tensions we experience today.
His professional trajectory is overwhelming, but his fundamental question—whether it makes sense to live without the affection of others—gives us the key to his personal stature.
