The Office of the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer offers 60 places to participate in the training program and apply for the BESTT Universitat de València awards with the aim of providing participants the opportunity to develop intercultural skills, work in international teams, improve technological skills, gain knowledge to generate innovative business ideas and formulate entrepreneurial projects in sports sciences, gain new experiences and establish contacts through their participation in specific training activities in entrepreneurial skills.

It will be carried out based on a training programme that will follow the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) methodology, and there will be prizes for participants and best projects.

This call for awards arises from the UVemprén Aprèn Program for teaching innovation projects in university entrepreneurship aimed at the PDI of the Universitat de València.

The program is possible thanks to the collaboration agreement between Universitat de València and Banco Santander to promote UVemprén entrepreneurship Campus - Santander Universidades.

The teaching innovation project director in university entrepreneurship BESTT is Professor Jose Ignacio Priego from the Facultat de Ciències de l’Activitat Física i l’Esport at Universitat de València.

This call is aimed at bachelor’s degree and master's degree students from the Universitat de València, the Technische Universität Chemnitz and the Universidade Federal do Pampa, enrolled in the 2023-2024 academic year.

The call consists of 60 places to participate, from September 25 to November 20, 2023, in specific training activities that allow students to generate and design an innovative business idea based on a sports assessment service.

The participants, after receiving specific cross-curricular training, will work as a multicentre team to generate an innovative business idea focused on a sports assessment service. Upon completion, they must submit their projects, which will be evaluated by a committee and will be eligible for the following prizes:

For all students who complete the programme and submit a project that is considered suitable:

• A 50 € gift voucher to spend at the Universitat de València store (https://www.latenda.es/es/index.php).

For the most outstanding projects:

• Two runner-up prizes of 700 €.
• A first prize of 1,500 €.

Applications must be submitted using a standard application form available at the following link, by means of a general request addressed to the Entrepreneurship Unit (Unitat d’Emprenedoria–UVemprén), specific procedure “PROGRAMA BESTT 2023”.

It is necessary to provide, together with the Registration form (Annex II), the supporting documents evidencing the level of English and the average mark for the previous academic year in the case of the Universidade Federal do Pampa and the Technische Universität Chemnitz.

It is also necessary to apply for the scholarship to SANTANDER UNIVERSIDADES through the platform BECAS SANTANDER.

The period for submitting applications will begin on June 23, 2023 and ends on September 10, 2023 at 11:59 pm (CEST time zone).
