As part of the Family Business Course, we had the opportunity to visit ISAVAL, a company with more than 55 years of history, founded in 1968, which represents a clear example of evolution and solidity in the field of family business.

Our thanks to the ISAVAL team for their warm welcome, and especially to Paco Vallejo, Vice President of the company, for generously sharing his history, his experience and his vision for the future. It was a deeply enriching visit, which gave us an insight into the real workings of an established family business, with an eye on the next generation.

During the visit, we reflected on some key ideas that define their culture and vision for the future:

• Every family business has an origin that marks its identity.
• Trust has been and continues to be a fundamental pillar.
• After 57 years of history, the new challenge is to prepare the generational handover, opting for a professionalised model without losing its essence.
• Its greatest strength: union, enthusiasm, commitment, sacrifice and a shared dream.
