Within the framework of the project “Multi-religious alliance to address social challenges from the 2030 Agenda” (ALUZAR), on April 11 and 12, 2024, the Conference “Social transformations, interreligious dialogue and sustainable development in the Valencian context” – Interreligious and Social Forum will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Rector Peset Hall of Residence in Valencia  with representatives of different religious entities based in the Valencian Community to reflect on their commitment to current social challenges and building the future.

Representatives of different traditions - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Indian religions, Baha’ism - will discuss the need to promote inclusive and sustainable development supported by religious and ethical values and committed especially to circumstantially vulnerable and marginalized groups.

The project, financed by the Pluralism and Coexistence Foundation and coordinated by the University of Valencia, aims to encourage reflection and joint work among religious entities, stimulating the exchange of experiences, so that both participants and the public acquire a greater understanding of reality and explore opportunities for working together. Furthermore, the project aspires to reach concrete commitments to promote real development in a sustainable manner by creating alliances with educational, social, cultural entities and public administrations.

Schedule: Thursday, April 11 from 09:00 to 11:30, from 12:00 to 14:00, from 16:00 to 18:00 and from 18:30 to 20:30 and Friday, April 12 from 09:30 to 11:30 and from 12:00 to 14:00.
