The award has the goal of stimulating the creation and dissemination of pieces of work that, with a warming language, are put to the reach of a general public, and the pre-university students in particular, scientific and technological advances, as well as the dissemination of interesting aspects from the different branches of knowledge. The awareded book will be co-edited, in the Valencian version, by Edicions Bromera and the Universitat de València, inside the collection “Sense Fronteres”.

Essays of popular dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge written in Valencian or any other variety of this language, in Spanish, in English or in French with an extension between 250.000 and 300.000 characters (spaces included) can go for this award. Additional materials in the text must be original and be free of rights, or contain the correspondent copyright permission. Those awarded in previous editions cannot participate again. Furthermore, those texts coming from dissertations, of master's degrees, doctoral theses and scientific articles are excluded.

To participate, the works have to be presented preferably through the online office of the UV (http://webges.uv.es/uvEntreuWeb). They can also be presented on paper in the General Registry of the institution (avda. Blasco Ibáñez 13, 46010 València). The works must be original and unpublished, and will be evaluated by the jury, anonymously, according to the next criteria: scientific interest and coherence (up to 3 points), creativity and originality (3 points), expositive and text structure clarity (3 points), and correct use of syntax and orthographic rules (1 point).
