The Equality Commission of the Faculty of Economics organises, 11 March, several events to commemorate International Women’s Day.

The day will start at 12:00 h at the Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Economics with the presentation of the event, followed by the 12^th edition of the JJ Ponce Equality Awards “Una imagen para la igualdad” (an image for equality), a prize that recognises the efforts of those who through their visual and creative work contribute to the promotion of gender equality. Then, the prize of the 7^th Contest on Gender Publications, which is given to the most remarkable works of this area of expertise, will be awarded.

The session will continue with the conference “Tierra, mar y aire: el testigo de una mujer que quiso cambiar el mundo” by Patricia Campos, pilot and soccer commentator. In her intervention, Patricia will share her inspiring professional and personal trajectory, and will highlight the never-ending challenges she faced while trying to break gender barriers in traditionally male dominated fields.

The ceremony will end with the Picture of the Women’s Day at the Hall of the Faculty.
