
Professors Isolina Ballesteros, Charo Lacalle Zalduendo and Sonia Kerfa will be attending the Second International Congress on Gender and Sexuality in Spanish Cinema. This event is scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 November at the FFTIC of the University of Valencia.
The Second International Conference on Gender and Sexuality in Spanish Cinema: Contemporary Audiovisual Representations, organised by the TECNOGEN research project, will feature three internationally renowned professors as invited speakers. The opening lecture will be given by Isolina Ballesteros, Professor of Iberian and Latin American Studies at the City University of New York (New York, United States), and will be entitled 'Sorority, activism and impact on recent film production'. Charo Lacalle Zalduendo, Professor of Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Director of the Observatory of Spanish Fiction and New Technologies, will be delivering a lecture entitled 'Evolution and trends in the representation of female sexuality in television fiction'. Finally, Professor Sonia Kerfa of Visual Arts and Gender Studies at the Université de Grenoble-Alpes (France) will deliver the concluding lecture, titled 'The anti-necropolitical gaze: a feminist practice in audiovisual productions'.
