The 1st Doctoral Conference, ‘Gender Perspectives and Research Methodologies in Contemporary Audiovisual Culture’, will take place on 15 July 2026, starting at 3.00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication at the University of Valencia.

The conference aims to provide a meeting point, in a hybrid format, for young researchers from various national and international universities, with the aim of discussing feminist and intersectional approaches and methodologies applied to the study of cinema and contemporary audiovisual culture. The event is open to the university community and forms part of the scientific dissemination activities of the project “Gender Technologies in Spanish Audiovisual Culture of the New Millennium” (PID2022‑138974NA‑I00). The session will open with welcoming remarks from Giulia Colaizzi, director of the Interculturality and Communication (Intercom) research group and a research fellow at TECNOGEN, and from Silvia Guillamón Carrasco, Principal Investigator of the project and director of the conference.
