The TECNOGEN research team will take part in a seminar on contemporary Spanish women filmmakers to be held at Leipzig University (Germany) on 9 and 10 July 2026. The seminar aligns with the project's research focus on women's audiovisual production during the second decade of the twenty-first century.
Specifically, researchers Silvia Guillamón Carrasco and Jorge Belmonte Arocha will attend the event. Professor Guillamón Carrasco, Principal Investigator of the project, will deliver the lecture Reescribir la pantalla. Genealogías feministas del cine español contemporáneo. Her presentation explores the role played by different Spanish women filmmakers in redefining contemporary audiovisual imaginaries from a feminist perspective.
Professor Belmonte Arocha will present the paper Antagonismos cronotópicos y coeducación audiovisual en directoras españolas, analysing audiovisual works by Isabel Coixet and Andrea Jaurrieta through the perspectives of audiovisual coeducation and chronotopic antagonism.
