
Jorge Belmonte Arocha, member of the TECNOGEN project, participated in the 1st International Conference Galatea Awakens: Artificial and Metamorphic Female Bodies in Contemporary Audiovisual Media, held from May 6 to 8, 2026, at Jaume I University in Castellón.
Researcher Jorge Belmonte Arocha presented the paper The Figure of the Doppelgänger in Another Me (Isabel Coixet, 2013) and Ana by Day (Andrea Jaurrieta, 2018): Analysis and Coeducational Approach within the framework of the 1st International Conference Galatea Awakens: Artificial and Metamorphic Female Bodies in Contemporary Audiovisual Media. His proposal, aligned with the theme of his panel, “Metamorphosed Mythical Figures,” explores the research lines of the TECNOGEN project, which focuses on analyzing women’s audiovisual production during the second decade of the 21st century.
