The Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) is hosting the ‘Miradas en femenino’ International Conference, an event organised by CINEA and the TECNOGEN R&D&I project. The event will take place in the Rectorate Auditorium (Building 3A) on Friday 29 May 2026 at 10.00 am. This conference aims to create a meeting place for researchers and professionals in the sector to highlight the work of female filmmakers in the contemporary Spanish film scene, as well as to analyse their historical absence from official narratives. The event is organised by Javier Moral (UPV) and Silvia Guillamón (UV), and will also feature the participation of other members of the TECNOGEN research and working team. The highlight of the event is the closing conference with filmmaker Avelina Prat, director of the acclaimed film Vasil (2022) and Una quinta portuguesa (2025).
