The figure of Miguel de Molina marks a before and an after in the career of Clara Montes; while the artist lived in Argentina she researched the innovative, transgressive and bold career of the cantaor at a very difficult time for Spain. In Argentina he was a highly renowned and admired artist, and Clara immersed herself into his world and longing for Spain.
In this show, prepared for the SERENATES festival and coinciding with the exhibition about Miguel Molina that is to be presented during the same dates at the Universitat de València, Clara wanted to include as well some songs from very influential artists of the epoch, all contemporary and friends of Miguel de Molina, such as Rafael de León, Federico García Lorca and Rafael Alberti.
