Mª Luisa Harto Trujillo finished her Degree and Doctoral Programme in Latin Language Studies at University of Extremadura, where she held academic, research and management responsibilities.
She is a Full-Time University Professor in Latin Language Studies since 2020 and her main research lines are latin historiography, Renaissance and particularly the history of latin grammar
Her studies and editions on neutral and transitivity are the result of her research on grammar, Prisciano, Tomás Linacro, the Brocense, Nebrija, Juan García de Vargas or Juan Torrella.
She is currently the head of the 'Las artes de la palabra de la Antigüedad al Renacimiento' ('The word arts from Ancient Times to the Renaissance') research group. Latest publications include the critical edition, translation and study of Introductiones Latinae. Recognitio by Nebrija (Grammatica Humanistica Collection, Cáceres, 2022) in collaboration with Eustaquio Sánchez Salor, Santiago López Moreda and Joaquín Villalba.
Summary
The conference '¿Cómo ser un gramático latino a lo largo del tiempo?' ('How to be a latin grammarian throughout the time?') we will try to show the context of latin grammar masters since Classic times and how this context had left a mark on souces, work targets, methodology, structure... in other words, we will run the diachronic path through different eras of the latin grammar history.
