The General Fundación of the UV accumulates more than four decades of culture, training, solidarity and service, collaborating in the projection of the academic, research and cultural activity at the UV. Today, with more than one hundred professionals, the gender perspective is a structural part of its organization and programming.
For the purpose of March 8, the Foundation highlights the sustained commitment that is reflected in the 2nd Equality Plan, with 86 distributed actions in 10 areas until 2026. Beyond the regulatory framework, equality is integrated across the board into internal management and all areas of cultural, educational and social activity.
Culture and critical thinking with a feminist perspective
El International Center of Gandia incorporates gender perspective into its academic and cultural program. The Universitat d’Estiu has adressed issues such as ageism, and the invisibiliy of mature women with exhibition such as Los Siete Velos (The Seven Veils) by Inma Coll
Female leadership in educational field.
The Language Center UV reflects the transversal nature of equality in its own structure, the teaching staff is predominantly female, and women occupy key positions of technical and directive responsibility, like the position of chair. Balance is also achieved in academic coordination while the Secretariat and Administration has amajority female presence.
Language courses students, also have higher participation rates. Moreover, The Center reinforces female role models with activities, like a talk with a Paralympic swimmer Alessia Berra, who shared with the university community an experience of overcoming adversity linked to sports and inclusion.
