The main goal of our group is the study of scientific and technical translations in order to reconstruct their history in Spain. This study is inherently bound to the contribution of these translations to the history of science and technique and, therefore, to the dissemination of knowledge. It is also an objective of our group to emphasise the importance of their protagonists: the translators and their work.

For this, we have started the following research:

• Paratextual study of the translations;
• Creation of an open access portal that would put within reach of the researchers the data recollected during our study, meaning that it would implement a database gathering the corpus of translators and scientific and technical translations from French to Spanish (18th-20th century);
• Dictionary of translators with their bio-bibliographical characteristics;
• Thematic dictionary of translations with their bibliographical characteristics;
• Historical scientific and technical terminological corpus based on the data provided by the translations.
