On October 17th, the Chair participated in the “50th anniversary of the publication of the book: Conflicto lingüístico valenciano” at the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication’s espai cultural.
The Cruscat Network, the Societat Catalana de Sociolingüística and the Chair for Linguistic Rights, in collaboration with Generalitat de Educación and the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication, organised the “Half a century of Valencian linguistic Conflict by Ninyoles; validity and perspectives of an essential book” with the goal of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the publication of the book by Author Rafael Ninyoles, “Conflicto lingüístico valenciano".
This lecture series was carried out by UV’s Professor of Catalan Philology Miguel Nicolás Amoròs, the UV’s Professor of Constitutional Law and Director of the Chair for Linguistic Rights and, lastly, by Professor at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, President of the Societat Catalana de Sociolingüística and Director of the Institue for Catalan Studies’ Cruscat Network Àngel Pradilla Cardona.
It was a very enriching event for sociolinguistic training, one of the main goals of our chair.
