The Master’s Degree in Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences is aimed towards graduates who wish to acquire higher multidisciplinary qualifications in the different specialisation fields which Optometry covers. This degree stands out for how it is constantly updated in all its fields of competence, with a high amount of internship hours.

In addition to allowing students to apply for the Doctorate Programme in Optometry and Vision sciences, this degree trains graduates to have the skills required in different professional options. Some of the positions of responsibility held by and to which our future graduates can aspire are:

  • Optometric consults in Public Healthcare Manager.
  • Optometric consults in Specialised Opticians and Ophthalmological Clinics Manager (in this case, our Master’s Degree trains graduates for tasks such as: calculating and selecting intraocular contact lenses, calibrating surgery laser platforms, among others).
  • Members of basic or applied research in R&D programmes.
  • Members of innovation programmes at companies in collaboration with university centres.
  • Commercial Consultant/Agent at companies in the field of Ophthalmic Optics (contact lenses, intraocular lenses) and of Instrumentation for Optometry and Ophthalmology.
  • Freelance professional in advising and consulting in subjects related to Optics and Optometry.
