I am trying to complete the pre-registration for the MOACV Master's and I can't manage to do it.

Follow these pre-registration instructions, if it doesn't work, try using another browser. And if you still can't manage it, contact the Faculty of Physics Office through the TiquetingUV of the Faculty of Physics.

Is it necessary to pay fees to complete the pre-registration for the MOACV Master's?

Fees are only required for students who hold Bachelor’s degrees from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). These fees correspond to the equivalency study needed to recognize the qualifying degree. This process does not imply, in any case, the official validation of the previous degree or its recognition for any purpose other than accessing master’s studies.

I am admitted to the MOACV, but I may do it in two years. How many credits should I enroll in each year?

PARTIAL Enrollment: with a minimum of 24 to 36 credits (ECTS) per year, if requested. It must be requested through the UV Electronic Headquarters after being admitted, that is, after completing the pre-registration. To request PARTIAL enrollment, a document justifying the reason for the request must be attached (if it's for work, it would be through a work contract; if it's for health reasons, a medical certificate is needed; etc.).

TOTAL Enrollment: is considered when the enrollment includes 36 to 60 ECTS. If you choose this option, no justification is necessary. It would also allow you to complete the Master's in 2 years, but in the first year you must enroll in a minimum of 36 ECTS.

hen choosing the elective subjects "Introduction to Research I" and "Introduction to Research II," the PA group appears by default. Would it be in the online modality?

The elective subjects are offered in a single group called "PA," whose instruction will be online through the virtual classroom.

I am currently working; can I complete the Master's in 2 years?

Yes, you can take the Master's with PARTIAL enrollment over 2 years if you balance it with work, as explained in a previous question. You can also do it in a semi-presential format.

When is it mandatory to attend the Faculty if I enroll in the semi-presential option?

If I have worked for several years in optometry, optics, or ophthalmological consultation, can I request the validation of some credits?

Professional experience will be recognized exclusively for the External Practices subject if the student demonstrates at least two years of full-time professional experience, through their Employment History Report and a Certificate from the company where they have carried out their professional work, detailing the position held, the duration, and the tasks performed, emphasizing any specialization aspects outside the usual scope of the optometrist's duties, if applicable.

I need to organize my schedule for the next course. When do classes start? How can I find out the schedules?

Classes usually start in the 2nd or 3rd week of September and end at the end of May. Following that, there is the exam period, and the course ends in July with the defense of the Final Master's Project.
