Current position and professional activity I currently work at the Pare Jofre Hospital (HACLE) as a physiotherapist in the comprehensive medical area, where I perform clinical interventions with patients with acquired brain damage, other neurological pathologies, convalescents, and palliative care. I combine my clinical practice with classes as an external lecturer at the Faculty of Physiotherapy in University of Valencia. I am also a member of the Teaching and Research Committee at Dr. Peset Hospital. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia and a master’s degree in Osteopathy from the School of Osteopathy in Madrid. 3. Research activity and scientific output I am currently the principal investigator in the research study “Detection of peripheral biomarkers of neuroplasticity after brain damage in the subacute phase.” I have participated in projects on motor learning in people with stroke and on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in the Department of Pediatric Neurology. |

1. Current position and professional activity Since 2016, I have been working at CUNAFF, clinic belonging to University of Valencia’s Clinics, as a neurological physiotherapist, where I currently consult with neurological patients and conduct therapeutic exercise sessions in a gym for people with functional diversity. I have been combining my clinical practice with teaching at the International University of Valencia (VIU) since 2018, where I am a professor in the master’s degree in Neurological Physiotherapy. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia, with a Master's Degree in Functional Recovery in Physical Therapy specializing in neurology and various specialized courses in neurological physical therapy and manual therapy. I am currently pursuing a PhD in the Physical Therapy PhD program at the University of Valencia. 3. Research activity and scientific output My research focuses on the neurological population and aging. In addition to presenting papers at various conferences, I have participated in a project at the University of Valencia related to the effects of immersive technology on the gait of patients with stroke sequelae. |

I combine my clinical practice with teaching and tutoring master's theses at the International University of Valencia, and I am also working on my doctoral thesis at the University of Valencia. 2. 1. Current position and professional activity I currently work at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where I am a Distinguished Researcher and carry out my research activity at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Bioengineering. I lead the Neurorehabilitation and Brain Research Group (nrhbgroup.com), whose work focuses on the evaluation and promotion of functional recovery after brain injury, as well as research into the brain mechanisms underlying processes such as consciousness. I combine my research work with teaching tasks related to biomedical engineering and neurorehabilitation. 2. Academic training and specialization I hold a Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2007), where I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Communication Technologies, Systems, and Networks (2011) and a Doctorate in 2014, with International Cum Laude Mention and Extraordinary Award. My specialization is focused on neurorehabilitation, clinical research, and artificial intelligence applied to biomedical engineering. 3. Research activity and scientific output My research activity has focused on neurorehabilitation and the study of brain activity using applied technologies. I have participated in 44 research projects funded through competitive public calls (11 as Principal Investigator), including projects of scientific excellence, knowledge generation, public-private collaboration, and European projects. I have published 70 articles in JCR-indexed journals and contributed more than 150 papers to scientific conferences and three book chapters. I have supervised eight doctoral theses and more than 50 degree's and master's theses. |

1. Current position and professional activity Physical therapist and director of the Nou Moles Physical Therapy and Personal Training Clinic. In my daily clinical practice, I work with patients who have suffered strokes, spinal cord injuries, and multiple sclerosis, among others.Lecturer at the University of Valencia, I taught the Functional Assessment of Neurological Patients course in the Master's Degree in Neurological Physical Therapy program at the International University of Valencia for four years. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia, a Master's Degree in Aging Processes: Social and Health Strategies from the University of Valencia, and a PhD in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia (specializing in shoulder pathology). 3. Current position and professional activity I currently work as a lecturer in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry at the Complutense University of Madrid. I teach courses related to physical therapy in the care of people with neurological disorders in the physical therapy degree program, as well as research methodology courses at both the undergraduate and doctoral levels (doctoral program in Health Care). 2. Academic training and specialization I hold a PhD with Mention Cum Laude from Rey Juan Carlos University (Motor Neurocontrol program), a degree in Physiotherapy from the Pontifical University of Comillas, a Master's degree in Neurological Pathology from Rey Juan Carlos University, and a University Expert in Neurological Physiotherapy from the Complutense University of Madrid. 3. Research activity and scientific output My main line of research focuses on digital health and new technologies applied to rehabilitation in adult and pediatric populations with neurological damage. My duties include: - Clinical reasoning in patients with acquired brain injury (ABI), multiple sclerosis, and degenerative neurological diseases, etc. - Preparing multidisciplinary reports. - Meetings with families. - Coordination with the external medical team. 2. Current position and professional activity I currently work in the R&D&I Department of the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (IBV) as a physical therapist and researcher in Clinical and Functional Assessment and Training. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia (1997), and I have gained work experience in the fields of healthcare physical therapy associated with the private sector, in the area of occupational accident insurance, in occupational centers, as well as in elite sports.I have taken various courses related to manual therapy, osteopathy (C.O), McKenzie, as well as training and refresher courses on biomechanical assessment. 3. Current position and professional activity I have been working in the field of pediatric physical therapy for more than twenty years, mostly with the Fundación Hospitalarias in Valencia as a physical therapist. I currently work at their Early Intervention Center, where I provide clinical care to pediatric patients with various conditions through an interdisciplinary approach. In addition, I have been combining my clinical practice with participation as a speaker at conferences, congresses, training courses, and a university master's degree related to pediatric physical therapy for more than 8 years. 2. Academic training and specialization I graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia in 2001, with a Postgraduate Degree in Pediatric Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia in 2008. I have extensive specific training in the physiotherapeutic approach to the pediatric population and have completed a course in pedagogical adaptation specializing in healthcare processes at the University of Valencia (2004). 3. 1. Current position and professional activity I currently work as a physiotherapist for the F.ES.A. Foundation. (Federation of Adapted Sports of the Valencian Community), where I am fully dedicated to patient care and treatment in the aquatic environment, both through therapeutic exercise in this medium and through specialized care for adult patients with neurological disorders, using aquatic therapy. I perform these duties at the Campanar Indoor Pool in Valencia. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia, with a specialization in “Expert in Aquatic Therapy” from Rey Juan Carlos University, in 2014-2015.I subsequently expanded this training with a specific training course: “Aquatic Therapy in Neurology. Functioning and Plasticity. From bodily functions to activities and their transfer”. I complemented this with specific training in neurological patient care through the course “Balance, motor control, and treatment of neurological patients”.More recently, in the 2023-2024 academic year, he obtained a Master's Degree in Continuing Education in Graphic Medicine from International University of Andalucía, training undertaken out of an interest in improving communication skills and strategies, both with patients affected by neurological pathology in the healthcare setting and with other healthcare professionals and society in general, using the language of Graphic Medicine to convey knowledge in the field of health in general, and aquatic therapy more specifically. |

Current position and professional activity I currently work at the Castellón Acquired Brain Injury Foundation as a physical therapist in the personal autonomy promotion program (CRAPPS), where I provide clinical intervention to people with acquired brain injury in the subacute and chronic phases. I combine my clinical practice with teaching as an external professional in the Master's Degree in Functional Recovery in Physical Therapy at the University of Valencia. In addition, I also tutor clinical practices in neurological physiotherapy to physiotherapy students at the CEU San Pablo University in Valencia. I also collaborate in the preparation of university theses with students from the University of Valencia, in which the object of study is people affected by acquired brain damage and other pathologies of the central nervous system. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with a Master's Degree in Neurorehabilitation from the Guttmann Institute (Autonomous University of Barcelona). I also have a Postgraduate Degree in Neurological Physical Therapy from Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. 3. Current position and professional activity I currently work as a physical therapist and head of the technical team at the Association of Families with Children with Functional Diversity in the Province of Alicante, within the neurology unit of the Comprehensive Care and Functional Recovery Center (CAIRF), located in San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante). My work focuses on clinical intervention with pediatric and adult populations, especially in the areas of aquatic therapy and respiratory physical therapy. I combine my healthcare work with teaching as an honorary collaborator at Miguel Hernández University, in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy degrees, and I also participate as a professor in the Official Master's Degree in Functional Recovery at the University of Valencia. 2. Academic training and specialization I have a degree in Physical Therapy from Miguel Hernández University and a Master's Degree in Functional Recovery in Physical Therapy from the University of Valencia, specializing in neurological pathology. I have complemented my training with a 100-hour course in respiratory physical therapy techniques, which allows me to comprehensively address the needs of people with neurological disorders and respiratory compromise. 3. 1. Current position and professional activity I currently work as a lecturer and researcher at the Miguel de Cervantes European University in Valladolid, where I teach in the Department of Health Sciences, in the Degree in Physiotherapy and in the Master's Degree in Innovation and Research in Physical Activity in Special Populations. I am a member of the i+HeALTH Strategic Research Group at the university.I have worked for 25 years as a physiotherapist in the fields of early intervention, education (both integration and special education), hospitals, and orthopedics.I am currently a member of the Physiotherapy in Education Working Group of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Physiotherapy (SEFIP), and I have been a member of the SEFIP Governing Board from 2020 to 2024. I was also a member of the General Committee of the European Academy of Childhood Disability (EACD) from 2008 to 2010.I collaborate with several Spanish universities, teaching various courses and seminars related to physical therapy and physical activity for people with disabilities, biomechanical analysis of pathological gait and the most appropriate orthotic decisions, and interventions for real participation in people with disabilities. 2. Research activity and scientific output My main line of research focuses on “Participation in Leisure Physical Activities in People with Disabilities,” primarily using the Collaborative Participation Model, where the individualized goals of the child/adolescent/young person with a disability are identified, together with their family, and an Action Plan is developed to achieve these goals in the relevant setting (home, school, and community), analyzing the barriers and facilitators, as well as the strengths of the child/adolescent/young person, their family, and their environment. I have also researched the format of administering this intervention through telemedicine, which can currently be a face-to-face, telematic, or mixed intervention, making it possible to implement it in any health system (public and private), school, and social services.I have participated in two nationally funded projects related to children's health. The most recent, as Principal Investigator, is the project “Bicycles for All: Inclusive Physical Activity in the Villages of Valladolid (RURALBIKE),” which facilitates the participation of people with disabilities in inclusive leisure activities involving bicycles. I have four publications indexed in JCR journals and three others in the peer review process. |
