Last Thursday, October 16th, we were fortunate to have Lluís Montoliu, a scientist, communicator, and bioethics expert, join us at our Master's Degree.
Lluis is a researcher at the CSIC, Deputy Director of the National Center for Biotechnology, and a member of the Steering Committee of the Center for Biomedical Research Network in Rare Diseases (CIBER-ER) at the ISCIII. His research has led to numerous publications and recognition of his work with various awards.
But in addition to his excellent scientific background, his interest in the ethical aspects of research has led him to delve deeper into this field, becoming a leading expert. He was a member and Chair of the CSIC Ethics Committee until January 2022 and is a member of the Ethics Panel of the European Research Council (ERC) in Brussels.
Finally, as part of his activities, he is interested in scientific communication and dissemination, having also received several awards for his work in dissemination.
He gave two sessions in the Master's program, one dedicated to "Bioethics and Scientific Integrity" and another to "Scientific Communication and Dissemination."
