This Master has been designed and launched by ETSE-UV (higher Technical School of Engineering of the UV) in collaboration with the companies of VaSiC: ams OSRAM, Analog Devices, Bosch and  MaxLinear. Its objective is to respond to the need for generating, attracting and keeping talent that these enterprises demand to provide the Valencian ecosystem of semiconductors with a continuing and sustainable growing.

This Master from the Universitat de València, with 60 ECTS, is made in person and during afternoon hours and Saturdays. It is taught at the ETSE with a 50& of the teachers from the School and a 50% of teachers from the enterprises. The internships and TFM (Master's Thesis) are developed in the enterprises and the tuition is paid by the Chair.

Associated with the Master are also taught three Expert Titles:

• University Expert on Analogic and Mixed Advanced Microchip Design
• University Expert on Advanced Digital Microchip Design
• University Expert on Chip Systems (SoC)

The Chip Chair - UV has driven different doctoral degrees, both academic and industrial, regarding advanced research topics in the area of microchips and semiconductors, such as:

• Vision sensors guided for events for particle tracking
• Self-calibrated interfaces for X-ray detectors by photon counting
• Magnetic sensor array for microfluidic applications
• Acoustic wave microresonators for biotechnological applications
• Neuromorphic vision sensors with depth detection
• Advanced CMOS vision sensors for 3D applications
• IPs for video processing and real-time depth maps 
• Energy-efficient chipsets for the processing of 3D-video

Some of these proposals are backed by leader enterprises in the area such as ams OSRAM, PhotonicSens and AWSensors.
