This modality is played on a direct style game field divided by a string. It was fairly popular between the 18th and the 20th century. It was the middle step between llargues and escala i corda according to what we know of its promoter Nel de Murla. Some trinquets have survived in Marina, where it's reviving. This modality can be played individually or in pairs.

Galotxa is a variant of the pilota grossa mainly played at Monòver and Romana. Thanks to small facilities named galotxes and a pilota grossa (fat ball) make it a fun modality and easy to play for all ages. It is a little different at Pinós, where it's named llotges, and rebotet at Olleria, where the play with a badana ball with a unique way to score.

Màdel is a new modality born from the adaptation of Valencian pilota to paddle couches. There is a specific màdel ball, a bit larger and less bouncing than the badana ball.
