In recent years, there have been significant changes on multiple levels that have had a considerable impact on the teaching of Classical literature at the university level. At a general level, there is a movement to reconsider the centre of gravity of Classical creation in both Latin and Greek literature. This trend involves reclaiming the importance of periods, genres and authors that were previously marginalised or displaced in the 19th century but now occupy a prominent place in the attention of researchers and teachers alike. However, the reform of university studies has prompted a significant reassessment of the organisation of literature studies, resulting in various solutions that present an open-ended picture, possibly awaiting redefinition. This seminar aims to examine some of these issues. Experts from the universities of Barcelona, Cádiz and Complutense of Madrid will participate in the event.
