On 22 November 2016, María José García Folgado, David Parra and Alicia Santolària Òrrios organised a round table on Freinet pedagogy during Franco's dictatorship.

Students of the Degree in Primary School Education, Master’s degree in Secondary Education, teaching staff of the faculty, etc. attended the event. Adela Costa, Pilar Calatayud, Roser Santolària and Ferran Zurriaga attended as speakers (other members of the Moviment Cooperatiu d’Escola Popular del País Valencià such as Gaspar Izquierdo and Isidre Manzanet joined the debate).

The event took place in the Setmanes complementàries that the Faculty of Teacher Training organises. It is a quarterly space which is engaged in the preparation of workshops and conferences that complement the academic curriculum.
