Victoria Abad participated in the Pedagogical and Organisational Update Conference of the IES Camp de Morvedre (Puerto Sagunto, Valencia) on 4 September with two lectures: School radio: an interdisciplinary school project and The European Portfolio: towards an integrated language learning.
The first lecture: School radio: an interdisciplinary school project, aims to show ways of working common to the different subjects in order to improve students' oral competence, since the discursive genres of this media (debates, news, reports or interviews) can be adapted to different levels and subjects and allow integrated work on writing and oral language. In addition, new technologies allow the creation and editing of audio files of the programmes elaborated by the students and to locate them on a webpage or blog that centralises this information. This lecture would not have been possible without the training received in the Summer Course of the Basque Country The oral language in the classroom. Digital activities, given by Mª del Mar Pérez, Irene González and Adela Fernández (Bloggeando group).
The second lecture, The European Portfolio: towards an integrated language learning, is a collaborating work of the Valencian departments: Language and Literature (represented by Àngels Guillem and Mariel Cosme), English (Belén López) and Spanish Language (Victoria Abad), coordinated by Josefa Gómez García, head of the French department. In this lecture is shown how the European Portfolio offers orientation, from the teacher’s point of view, on how to elaborate didactic proposals that integrate the content of the languages which are given at the educational centres and, from the pupil’s point of view, to improve his/her self-regulation, reflection and self-evaluation of his/her linguistic learning.
