For some time, the video has been used in classrooms, but in the last years its use as an educational resource has increased significantly. We consider that it should be used as a production tool, and not just for viewing or consuming it. In addition, the situations derived from the pandemic meant the increase of the use of videos in teaching.

In these conferences we will cover different didactic proposals for learning languages with ITC through audiovisual projects. Not only does the incorporation of videos in the academic work allow stressing key aspects for contributing to a significant learning, but also a digital literacy and an increase of possibilities for participation. Having said that, it is true that the innovation and improvement of educational practices by means of technologies depends on the good use of its didactic application. For this reason, the main objective of these conferences is to promote teaching innovation with the incorporation of audiovisual productions so as to improve linguistic learning. In order to achieve this, lecturers with considerable experience in the educational use of video will participate.

In addition, we are interested in discovering existing researches on this field for trying to figure out in which way the video develops creativity and fosters collaborative work, as well as if it makes easier the access to contents of different subjects, the interaction between the teaching staff and students, and the possibility of sharing audiovisual cultural references while learning, among others.

The Conferences try to see which are the advantages of educational use of videos and which challenges this resource sets so as to face more effectively the teaching and learning process of language.

Despite being specially addressed for teaching staff and students of the Degree in Preschool Education and Primary School Education, as well as of the University Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching and of the University Master’s Degree in Research in Specific Didactics of the Universitat de València, they are open Conferences.
