On 27 September, considered by the United Nations as the tourism day, has also become the annual unmissable appointment at the Faculty of Economics. This year, it celebrated its 9th edition of forTUR.

The event counted with the institutional welcome of the Universitat de València’s principal, along with the highest tourism authorities, both autonomous and municipal, José Manuel Camarero and Paula Llobet, respectively, accompanied by the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Paco Muñoz.

Of the six panel discussions that the programme is composed of, the MESVAL Chair has organised three of them:

  • “València como epicentro digital: oportunidades del metaverso en el turismo” (València as a digital epicentre: opportunities of the metaverse in tourism), chaired by professor Enrique Bigné
  • “Valencia y el Año Jubilar del Santo Grial: Impulsando el Turismo y la Economía a través del Patrimonio Cultural” (València and the Jubilee Year of the Holy Grail: fostering Tourism and Economics through Cultural Heritage), chaired by professors Inés Kuster and Natalia Vila
  • “Melodías que Mueven Economías: El Impacto de los Eventos Musicales en Vivo en la Comunidad Valenciana” (Melodies that move economies: the impact of live musical events in the Valencian Community), chaired by professor Manoli Pardo, in which the director of the chair, José Manuel Pastor, has also participated as a speaker.
