The Final Degree Project Committee must approve, and make public, a list of the topics or thematic areas for the Final Degree Project, the lecturers responsible for tutoring them and the assignment criteria.

The assignment of the dissertation topic and tutor will be carried out by the Final Degree Project Committee of the degree in accordance with the award criteria established in the degree's Final Degree Project instructions.

Students should be encouraged to choose a topic for their Final Degree Project that they find interesting and motivating, and which is linked to their professional interests, as this will give them the impetus to start researching and investing hours in the development of this project.  

They must be made to see that knowing what they want to research is essential to define the contents of the work, seek answers, establish hypotheses and obtain interesting conclusions at the end of this original project, which must have the capacity to generate knowledge.

It is important to show them that they have to take into account variables such as the number of existing sources of information, other research in the field, the transferability of the research to the real world. These assessments will help to establish the objectives of the work.
