Each Final Degree Project Committee may establish basic rules for the style, length and structure of the Final Degree Project, as well as the additional material to be provided by the students, if applicable. Students must comply with them scrupulously.

The basic structure, in general terms, would be composed of the following:

  • Title page. Title of the work, degree, date of submission, name and surname of the author and tutor.
  • Abstract. Brief description of the main ideas of each section of the work in which the key words should be included. It is recommended to add it after writing the Final Degree Project.
  • Table of contents. This is used to structure the content.
  • Introduction. This section includes the justification for the work and the objectives.
  • Theoretical framework. The context in which the research is proposed and which is connected to the justification of the work.
  • Research methodology.  Explain the procedure for developing the dissertation, justify the research methodology, the sources of information and the techniques or instruments for data collection.
  • Results, discussion and conclusions.  Analysis of the data, its interpretation according to the theoretical framework and the objectives.
  • Bibliographical references. Any source used in the work must be referenced.

Additional material can go into a new item called Annexes that should be placed at the end. This material would be supplementary content to corroborate the research arguments (instruments, statistics, interview transcripts, etc.).
