GOALS:

  • Construction of the Secondary School library in the town of Baasneere (Burkina Faso), last phase of a project started in 2015 which has carried out the construction of a classroom, a building for the administration and five houses for teachers .
  • Obtain the provision of furniture and school and bibliographic materials for the administration (previous phase).
  • Plant trees to provide shade at the school.
  • Raise awareness among the people of Algemesí, and by extension all those who attend the activities of our NGO, of the reality of poverty in the world and to commit to changing this situation, starting from a more sustainable, more austere life. .
  • Stimulate the development of Secondary Education in an area of Africa lacking these options, as a way to promote and improve people and the development of towns.
  • Provide vocational training to young people from Baasneere, based on the construction of sustainable buildings.

RESULTS:

Achieve the construction of the library, raise awareness among the people of Algemesí, stimulate the development of Secondary education and provide professional training to young people from Baasneere with the construction.

Verifiable indicators: Built building, talks and conferences in schools and groups, holding workshops.

ACTIVITIES:

Finish the library so that the youth of Baasneere can use it, a construction work camp with volunteers and workshops/competitions at universities to disseminate the project.

Verifiable indicators: Algemesí team of volunteers for the execution of the building and participation with the UNESCO Chair of Earth Architecture, Constructive Cultures and Sustainable Development.
