This project sought to revitalize the living Quichua-Spanish languages through the creation of a laboratory with the aim of serving the children of the educational community of San Lucas (Ecuador).

Faced with this problem, it was proposed to create a living languages laboratory, which is the only one in San Lucas, a region where 95% of students are indigenous. Through the implementation of this laboratory, from which students and teachers from 22 educational centers benefit, work will be done on the processes of recovery, valuation and rescue of the Quichua language and culture, identity and maintenance of their own language as Family and community communication link. The laboratory will have furniture, computers, a digital whiteboard, Internet connection, a library with books, etc. and will aim to help and facilitate students' learning of the Quichua and Spanish languages through interactive activities, which will encourage creativity, innovation and continuous training.

Given that the students of the San Lucas community have never been in contact with new technologies, it is essential to implement this type of language laboratory through computer tools that will facilitate communication between students and teachers and accelerate the learning and a complete linguistic immersion. In addition, the technology of the language laboratory promotes an education that encourages a high motivation of the students who will learn in a participatory environment, trying to eliminate illiteracy. Using computer tools in this laboratory in which they will be able to learn both languages, students will preserve and value Quichua and will not renounce their own ancestral language.
