Microcredential in gender-based violence awareness, detection and intervention

The microcredential is offered by ADEIT and taught at Universitat de València Gandia International Centre

 

This course aims to raise awareness of the structural roots of gender-based violence for students by recognising its systemic and cultural aspect while promoting a critical look to its reproducing social mechanisms.

Providing theoretical and practical tools to identify the gender-based violence typology and indicators for its soon detection for professional areas.

Analysing psychological processes related to gender-based violence in both victims and aggressor considering emotional consequences, risk factors and youth protection.

Understanding the legal and criminal frame of protection against gender-based violence, including most frequent crimes, digital and sexual violence, and the role of Law Enforcement Forces and Agencies.

Exploring the civil protection and right restoration approach in gender-based violence contexts, particularly in family and vicarial violence involving children.

Recognising specific forms of gender-based violence in vulnerable populations such as migrant women and work harassment while developing skills for effective and human rights-respectful intervention.

Designing strategies for educative and preventice intervention with gender perspective, with special emphasis in working with adolescents and youth in schools, promoting equal and violence free relations.

The course will take place at UV Gandia International Centre on November Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
