On October 7, 2019, Mar Beltrán Silva, a member of the secretariat of the Department of History of the University of Valencia since 2005, has died. During these years she temporarily assumed the leadership of the departmental administration, participated in various Academic commissions, was a representative in the Permanent Board, the Department Council and the Faculty Board and among many other tasks, was responsible for distributing the 8,000 annual POD hours by shuttle, as well as processing the complex and overloaded economic management of the Various research projects. Many efforts, dedication and dedication to carry out the work, maintaining the spirit and the smile among his companions, an admirable gesture that he kept until the end.

On October 19, 2019, Dr. Inocencio Vicente Pérez Guillén, retired professor of the Department of Art History of the University of Valencia, died. He was a professor of the Department for 25 years, served as academic secretary (1990-1993) and participated in the founding of the magazine "Ars Longa" in 1990. He had retired as University Holder in 2009. He was a specialist of recognized prestige in the research on ceramic painting and Valencian tiles from different periods. Author of numerous publications on the subject. His research activity remained active as evidenced by the publication last July 2019 of his latest book published by the Servei de Publicacions of the University of Valencia: “Azulejerías del Hospital de Pobres Sacerdotes de Valencia. Programas emblemáticos de concordia entre la América virreinal y España”.
